Sorry Mr. President you had it all wrong

At last the long awaited state of the address is done. Even as I listened keenly, I couldn't help but appreciate the intellectual dexterity of the first gentleman of the land. Slide after slide the president delivered his speech in characteristically eloquent fashion. Almost four long hours and the state of the nation address was done.
In as much as he tried to touch upon all sectors of the economy, most people in the entertainment industry felt left out.
There was virtually little or nothing said concerning plans in place for the sector or past achievements for that matter.
Several industry players were left with sour taste in thier mouths after the speech.
It's not clear whether he was updated by persons responsible but decided to leave it out due to time constraints or he wasn't at all. In as much as I'm not privy to how all that works I wouldn't want to venture on that slope. The benefits that the creative arts and entertainment industry brings to us cannot in no uncertain terms be underestimated. Last year was a very good one for music lovers, even as Stonebwoy won his first ever BET (Black Entertainment) award as the best African act. The award represented the first win for any act under the dancehall genre. Alongside the Grammy nomination going to our very own Rocky Dawuni. These are two very huge strides that deserved at least a presidential commendation at this august occasion, as these two milestones in itself could draw international awareness to our country.

Sadly the only thing that had snippets of entertainment written over was the cacophonous and incessant heckling the opposition offered.
Above all it was a very good speech by the president. By the way, If you ask me, I'll suggest he shortens the length of such addresses by touching on more sensitive issues of state, and avoid the unnecessary evidence-based learning he tried implementing today. That said I am fully aware no one asked my opinion.
